Frozen Hot Chocolate.

(Image via)

I made this yummy frozen hot chocolate a few nights ago because I was craving a wintery drink but I also didn't feel like a heavy beverage. Hot drinks just make me feel so...lethargic. Anyways, I made a few tweaks to Kate's original recipe, but overall it was quite good! I'd recommend halving the recipe if you don't have anyone to share it with though! Also, if you're looking for a healthier version, visit Kate's page, or just substitute skim milk and Splenda instead of whole milk and sugar.

Recipe:
 1/2 cup chocolate chips
 2 Tbsp. hot cocoa mix
♥ 2 Tbsp. sugar
♥ 1 cup milk
♥ 1 tray ice cubes
 Whipped cream (optional)

1.) Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second intervals
2.) Mix the chocolate in a blender with the cocoa mix and sugar
3.) Add in the milk and ice cubes, about 1/3 of a tray at a time, blending until smooth
4.) Pour into a tall glass and enjoy with a straw and a dollop of whipped cream

You could even add some cinnamon and chili powder for Mexican frozen hot chocolate, or some candy cane pieces for peppermint frozen hot chocolate.

Yum.
