J'adore: Christmas Presents!

Christmas Presents

Merry Christmas, everyone! My dad knows me well...for Christmas he always lets me put my annual order at Modcloth. Usually I go crazy and buy a ton of clothes but I'm on a major health kick right now (which is currently getting it's own kick...in the butt...because of all the Christmas treats around the house right now) and I didn't want to get anything that (hopefully) won't fit in a couple of months. I felt as if doing that would be telling myself that I'm not going to succeed, which is a pretty crappy way to go about working towards a goal. Anyways, I got some fun things instead, like a rainbow umbrella and a real Cambridge Satchel Company bag (!!) and a watch. I'm super excited for my order to come in!

Aside from presents this Christmas, I hope everyone is enjoying spending time with their families and loved ones, and reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. For me, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, but if that's not how you celebrate Christmas, that is also completely okay, and I hope that however you choose to spend this holiday (Christmas, Hanukkah  Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice or even nothing at all) you are surrounded by love.

As well, I'd like you you to know that if you are lonely, broken, sad, depressed, angry or hurting this holiday season, you are not alone, and I urge you you to get the help you need and deserve. People tend to white-wash Christmas, and make it seem as if it's this wonderful time of year when everyone and everything comes together peacefully, but sometimes it just plain sucks, and that's okay too.

Much love.
